Odd Dream About Dissecting Squirrels

Had an odd dream about dissecting squirrels.
But first, before dissecting the squirrels, we were going to paint the outside of their bodies in the pottery shop, and then dissect them.
And before we painted the outside of their bodies, I was reading a children's book about painting and dissecting squirrels to a group of children sitting at a table in the pottery shop, who weren't paying attention.
And part of the reason they weren't paying attention was because I was having trouble reading the book for several reasons - my reading was slow and I kept getting words wrong, because I was having trouble seeing and having trouble concentrating, because my mom was staring at me, wondering why I was reading a book about dissecting squirrels to a bunch of kids.

what if the snow globe broke my heart?

I don't remember what caused my fascination with snow globes when I was a little girl, but I found them fascinating. I was semi-tempted to buy one recently, thinking about how much I used to like them.
But then I also remembered this story my grandma told years ago about how she was holiday shopping, picked up a snow globe and shook it, it shattered, glass shards flung, and a shard of glass wound up inside her lower eyelid.
She was somehow able to remove it similarly to when an eyelash gets stuck there and it didn't cause any damage, but it could have.
For years, I obsessively thought about and visualized something shattering my eye or causing it to pop halfway out of my head. So maybe that's why I've never bought a snow globe.

Odd Dream - Water and Death and Money and Math

In last night's dream, an unknown to me older black woman and I were transporting ourselves somewhere on an old-fashioned raft sort of thing (which thinking about it later, brought to my mind that raft thing on some of the cover images of Mark Twain's, "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn").

Suddenly we saw another old-fashioned raft with two dead bodies on it - a mother and a child.

We placed the dead bodies upon our raft so they wouldn't sink down underwater and drown into nonexistence.  Maybe I thought we were saving them from total memory loss - but it turned out the other woman wanted to dredge the missing things out of the water in order to make money. Next thing I know, the two of us were sitting in front of a group of police people and I'm listening to the other woman describe what we had found, in a descriptive way that she thinks will make as much money as she can.  I didn't understand what was going on, but the people behind us seemed to.

Then the next thing I know, I'm walking around by myself carrying paperwork from the police and an envelope with the thousands of dollars we had gotten from that description of the dead bodies we had found. I was inside a school  trying to find my new math classroom.  I'm walking and walking by myself until I finally sit down, look at the paperwork that has my room number on it - and realize I've been walking around on the wrong floor and am now running late.

I suddenly envision a man from my past being inside that room when I find it.  But I don't remember who that man was or what he meant to me - and I don't find the room before I wake up, look at my clock, and see that it's later than I expected to wake up.

Condom Dream (should I open the jar and pull some out?)

Me and a woman I went to high school with walked to the door of a store to buy condoms.  Two men were with us too, but they weren’t our significant others or sex partners, just casual male friends standing behind us and despite their presence, we were in charge of our own condom choosing and buying.

The other woman knew what she was doing, had obviously interacted with the costumer service man before and even had a semi-secret code word related to her condom purchase.  As for me, this was my first time buying condoms – and since I wasn’t buying them with a particular partner in mind (because I didn’t have a partner), I had no idea what brand or variety to choose.  I was asked what size I wanted and how should I know?  I was asked if I wanted any special features and I didn’t know that either.

Since I wasn’t buying condoms with a particular cock in mind, I said standard size.  The other woman had spoken softly, and when she told him what she wanted, he was standing right in front of her; but when I was asked what I wanted, he was standing across the room next to the various condom accoutrements and so I had to loudly announce (almost yell) my uncertain answer in front of the whole store.

Then I got brought a huge jar-sized contraption (about triple the size of a mayo jar), with hundreds of condoms inside, all of them unpackaged and tiny. Less than half the size of an un-blown up balloon.  I wasn’t sure if I was handed this large jar with tiny condoms because he thought I wanted to buy the whole jar or if I was supposed to take off the lid and pull out the amount I actually wanted.

The woman next to me knew what she wanted and quickly got what she always got.

The two men behind us just stood there saying nothing and waiting for me to be done.

I’m not an easily embarrassed person; sex talk doesn’t bother me.  But I am a very uncertain person and I felt uncomfortable and slightly embarrassed about myself for not having a helpful partner (or any partner for that matter), not knowing what to do or choose when handed a huge container full of tiny condoms, and feeling like a clueless condom gimp.

A clueless sex, love, relationship gimp.

An odd little dream based on my current uncertainty about all those things.
