I am extremely excited to have FOUR NEW POEMS appearing in Cul-de-sac of Blood!

Extremely delighted to have FOUR NEW POEMS appearing within Cul-de-sac of Blood!

Here's the editors description of the poems - The orbitoclast, a tiny hammerhead shark tap tapping us into place. “I was walking through a parking lot” leads us inevitably, somehow, to “I wasn’t sure if I was human anymore.” A standard red horror. In these poems by frequent contributor Juliet Cook, medically-induced terror finds us where we live

Here's a few lines from the poem "Both Similar and Dissimilar" -

I wasn't sure if I was human anymore.
Maybe I was a goose in labor,
giving birth to a subhuman or else
I was in the middle of aborting my own brain
inside another terrible dream, trapped
underneath a seeping blue machine
shaped like a giant pill container
with cracked slots that don't keep anything inside.

And here's where you can read all four poems! - https://www.culdesacofblood.com/juliet-cook-2

Also, underneath the four poems, you can click on a link to learn a little bit more about the poems, such as what inspired them...

NEW Anthology available for Preorder - Like a Fat Gold Watch: Meditations on Sylvia Plath and Living

Like a Fat Gold Watch: Meditations on Sylvia Plath and Living is now available for Preorder!
I'm very excited to have two poems in this Anthology, coming very soon from Fat Gold Watch Press.
"A collection of a variety of artists, poets, writers, and essayists who respond to Plath with images, poems, essays, short stories, and academic texts. This anthology gathered an embarrassment of riches: men and women from all backgrounds, ethnicities, and sexual orientations; able-bodied, disabled, monolingual, trilingual; writers and artists from around the globe (and nearly) beyond. For some writers, inclusion in the anthology is their first time in print, but others have published well received books and won a host of awards for their writing and images."

NEW in Rag Queen Periodical - Four of My Poems!

"...He grows increasingly drunk and angry.
He screams at the TV and sticks up for Hitler.
He yells at your twenty pound dog. You carry the shaking
pup upstairs and let the man keep screaming out hostility.
At least he's not screaming at you.

You go back down for some water or to fix yourself
another vodka & coke, to tone your nerves and convince yourself
this is all normal. It isn't. It's all your fault.
He comes into the kitchen and glares at you,
raises his hand above your head like he's threatening
to punch you in the face. He punches
the cupboard above your head, breaks another hole."

from the poem "Your Fault", one of four of my poems appearing within Rag Queen Periodical, preceded by a lovely cicada.
Thank you very much to the Rag Queen team.

NEW in Riot Felice - FIVE of my poems!!!!!

"When my computer crashed, I thought I had lost so many details of myself
or at least seven years worth of me
stored on the computer he had bought me
and let me keep when our relationship died.
When my hard drive was restored, I found out I hadn’t lost
his rampant collection of hardcore porn videos
including woman after woman sucking dog dick."

(from my poem "Abuse")
