My Malformed Confetti has found another new home (in front of Disney Land)!

Kristin Garth received her copy of my poetry book, "Malformed Confetti" (published by Crisis Chronicles Press, late 2018) and placed it in front of Disney Land.

I hope she likes her fairy tales, princes, and princesses to be pretty warped (I know she does)...

A wonderful NEW review of my Malformed Confetti!

"This book of poetry is a language feast. Alliterative, assonant, associative...An aural smorgasbord. "I'm a slab on a slab, a plait on a plate, a poorly shorn lamb on the lam." Verbal slapstick mixed with high seriousness. Poems like acts of dissection exposing the viscera of femininity. Cook has wicked fun lobotomizing and surgically removing the pretty, cute, and adorable from her little dollies, subjects of her macabre ICU"
a part of this awesomely wonderful review by Wayne F Burke of my new-ish poetry book, "Malformed Confetti" (Crisis Chronicles Press, 2018)

NEW in Winedrunk Sidewalk:Shipwrecked in Trumpland - "Pepper"

"All he wants to do is destroy
in order to feel like his body is stronger.
He can't control his own body, so he'll control others.
He wants to be the boss of broken body parts."
in my poem, "Pepper", appearing in Winedrunk Sidewalk: Shipwrecked in Trumpland today

"Deadly Doll Dead Dissection" inside my Malformed Confetti and me wearing a doll head

"Deadly doll head dissection. A dolly crematorium, an almost life less
doll. A doll scatterbrained, a doll agitating until it barfs up more awful
doll head gobbledygook. A spitting and hacking doll. Spinning, falling
and flailing inside the doll vomitorium. A dark doll somnambulating and
throwing up"

from the introductory poem creature,"Deadly Doll Head Dissection", which starts off my new poetry book, "Malformed Confetti", published by Crisis Chronicles Press, October 2018.

MALFORMED CONFETTI has found another new home!

"...They weren’t anybody else’s
art project.  They were mine.
I poked holes to try to drain them,
but they just bubbled up into more
ghost ignitions. They are mine,

but they don’t come when called.
They come whenever they want to.
When they come I have to balance
rickety dishes of spoiled milk upon
precarious ledges..."

from the poem Parasitic Twin, within my poetry book 'Malformed Confetti'.

this photo was taken by Thursday Simpson, who received a copy of the Malformed Confetti!

MALFORMED CONFETTI beside my own googly eyed doll

"This one is not a still-life, but it might as well be
because I'm trapped inside
this battered bisque pate; these googly eyes
tilted sideways. Stuck off-kilter."

inside my poem "Doll Head Obscenity", inside my new poetry book, "Malformed Confetti", published by Crisis Chronicles Press, October 2018.

NEW in FLAPPERHOUSE - "The Moon Made Out of Bloated Cheese" by j/j hastain and me

"Sometimes I wonder where my voice comes from
and where it will go next.
My stomach keeps gurgling like it wants to be my voice.
I don’t think my stomach can handle American Cheese anymore.
It feels loaded with toxic chemicals."

Plus what is enough? (a collaborative poem written by Juliet Cook and Charles Cicirella)

Plus what is enough?

I didn't realize this fruit had fangs
until I bit in and swallowed.
I guess they're technically prickly spines
carved out of someone else's brain.
The x ray tech told me my veins were okay
but they only checked one part of my body.

I mean I can't even organize my own photos,
so let's not talk about the insides
of my screwed up head trying to coalesce
with the insides of someone else's.
Plus which your head can just fuck itself
if you're going to make fun of my other friends.

***

The Me Too Movement left me on the sidelines
somewhere between Hell and High-water.
And I’m not okay with that because I have a story
even though I choose not to tell it unless the lights
are out and I’m wearing my favorite pair of jammies.
There’s something to be said for discretionary spending.

I’m so tired of taking the higher ground and listening
to my better angels.
The better devils inside of me are kicking up a tumbleweed
tsunami and refuse to settle for their own Broadway musical.
I’ve listened long enough to the voices inside my head
and am pretty sure they don’t have my best interest at heart.

***

Sometimes I think pinking shears live inside my body
and I want to pull them out and cut off some of you guy's dicks.
Sometimes I think there's a lawnmower living inside my body
and I want to yank it out and cut off someone's eggplant shaped head.
In my dream a doll house is filled with tiny chainsaws aiming towards doll eyes.
In my nightmare I am the doll house filled with tiny dolls with chainsaws for mouths.

A NEW mini-review of my NEW poetry book, "Malformed Confetti"!

"All hail the Queen of Grotesque, Juliet Cook! Her imagery is monstrous, distorted and unnatural — an unmistakably unstable mixture of estranged dollcanos and blood."
