Since my pet was now a small flying insect, it was quite difficult to keep track of him when I let him outside. I'd have to keep my eyes diligently trained on him as he flitted around the yard.
Imagine trying to keep your eye on a mosquito inside your house, but replace your house with the great outdoors and replace your smashing death wish with feelings of fondness and solicitude, underlied with stressful high anxiety.
'Oh no!' thought I at one sudden dreadful moment. 'What if he flies into that spider web?'
