The NEW November flock of Thirteen Myna Birds is more disturbing than your standard stuffing!
"Things were different before this - I used to be alive - Now that the clocks have fallen back, the clouds resemble - the universe that’s been dying in my stomach - loaded onto conveyor belts - on a foot bridge over the canal, staring down at the mossy water - In these frequencies the skin of light jumps - Sea ground glass bits washed ashore - Tiny scraps of frayed paper - Incoherent pieces - I place each tooth onto a half-torn tissue - memory from breakage - paint a bloody cross near my sternum - Death somewhere deep inside my body"
The NEW November flock of Thirteen Myna Birds has arrived, offering new poems by Howie Good, Jennifer E. Hudgens, Melissa Eleftherion, and Michael D. Grover, HERE - http://13myna.blogspot.com/

The Halloween flock of Myna Birds has arrived!
The Halloween incarnation of Thirteen Myna Birds has arrived!
I was tempted to say Happy Halloween, but it's not very happy.
It's sad, disturbing, deathly, and haunted by discomfort and fear.
New poems by Tonya Eberhard, Lorraine Cipriano, Mark Antony Rossi, Matthew Rempe, Daniel G. Snethen, Wayne F. Burke, and John Grey are HERE - http://13myna.blogspot.com/
"I am an accident creating accidents - The teeth protruding from the ground - all the way to the brain cells - A voice screaming black crows from the lungs - gears replacing both eyes and feet - language sparse and close to the bone - kills the magpie - your soul a hollow shell - the hideous wormy thing in the middle - The bloodied wig - darkened and silenced by thick green curtains."

The New September flock of Thirteen Myna Birds has arrived!
"The flowers may never be well
again - Cold fronts enter spring - Glances become knives - your name branded on
my mind among fields of cotton candy suicides - Mountains of snow in my head -
bloated in the sweltering sun - enshrined among - the vacuum of space or the
vacuum within - used for drawing blood"
The NEW end of spring/beginning of fall Thirteen Myna Birds

"I wanted to curl my face and spit out - the hook stuck deep - I put my imaginary arm around it again - fearful of what monsters might come - press blue Vaseline from his lips to mine - a crimson river down my throat - the soft explosions of the drops colliding with the window’s pane - sirens pierce the day - there is no functional bottom to an ocean - I could not line up his vertebrae in proper order - I eat each piece when it’s hot - don't want to die - drowned in the coming storm"

The new July addition of Thirteen Myna Birds is here, featuring poems by Jocelyn Mosman, A.S. Coomer, Kristen Williamson, Lorraine Cipriano, Joseph Robert, and John Allen!
"a seesaw of cracked tilt - a powerpoint of your life - being shattered, exposed - little flickers of yourself - shirtless and hanging upside down - body swaying an unwelcomed dance - I almost wanted to trace it with my tongue - around the vehicle’s underbelly - crushing her notion of truth - and the shattered windshield - syllabuses melt in sheet music - that body’s sexy enough in this light..."

The NEW June flock of Thirteen Myna Birds has arrived!
Yes the June installation of Thirteen Myna Birds has now arrived and it is brimming with a delightful and hideous assortment of life and death and human and non-human creations by Victor Clevenger - Sarah Frances Moran - Martin Willitts Jr. - John Allen - Robert Beveridge - Lorraine Cipriano - Thomas Zimmerman - and Jen Stein taking it all the way down to the squeamishly creepy bottom of the pack. :)
"The room filled with ashes and haze - frayed feathers and faith - I dance and the moon is transfixed - until the mirror no longer showed my reflection - My sticky insides rooted - Spongy trees droop - The joy of the seasons rot - Dreams are part soiled paper and cracked egg shells - discovering not a blue but a fluorescent yellow ocean - on fire with waking dreams of life and drowning in our teeming cells - his cheeks dusking dead plums - I have lost my taste for all but this dust"

The New May flock of Thirteen Myna Birds has arrived!
The new Thirteen Myna Birds flock has arrived, filled with bodies broken, brains broken, hearts broken, unsettling memories, and ongoing violent twists and turns of love and life and loss.
Among this new flock are poems by Eileen Murphy, Alisa Velaj, Tom Montag, Mitchell Krockmalnick Grabois, Lorraine Cipriano, and Sanjeev Sethi.
"A rabbit’s body: broken - something mechanical hums and works - bloody rosewood shaped in his shop - an empty amber-colored field - a blood-soaked young lady fresh from a haunted house - A piece of steel pierced her vagina - memorabilia makes me aware of the gap - chewed over their core - I miss remembering what love was like..."

Happy April! A strange new spring flock of Myna Birds has arrived!
Dive into the stream of a strange spring break inside the new April edition of Thirteen Myna Birds - with three new poems by Rehan Qayoom - three new poems by Tammy Robacker - and three new poems by Laurie Kolp (and older poems by Darla Mottram and Jacklyn Janeksela still remaining within the flock)!
"The glossaries of the paths - Upon which my words take me - eternally forward - in the pool - Defibrillate me, open - my heart on a table of sand - the crop of sinners is ripe once again - just a bone cage - watch the curled shavings - drop in street gutters - ill, nude dollies and all - Their turtle-mark parts - A totally alien tongue - Let erosion sink in while spume foams - bubbles at the mouth of your shore - A star will unwind itself upon the horizon"

New Thirteen Myna Birds!
The new Thirteen Myna Birds flock has arrived!
With new offerings by Darla Mottram - Jacklyn Janeksela - Jennifer Lothrigel - Darren C. Demaree - John Thomas Allen - Martin Willitts Jr. - and a few peculiar creatures by Jennifer MacBain-Stephens still creeping out from under the bed at the bottom.
"the contrary is carved in skin - two hieroglyphic lines slanted sideways - flame spree of screams ring - in the bathroom with a kitchen knife - it is an eye cut open & left for dead - all small voices are never heard - I chase the voices - try to cut loneliness with scissors - I can still remember the tiny shudder - asterisk stars blown from smoking lip gloss tubes - trickling down the hallway, a heart or a beast - the swirling cloud, the unsettled dust - trample a seed if it escapes"

The first Thirteen Myna Birds flock of 2016!
The first Thirteen Myna Birds flock of 2016 has arrived!
Brimming with disconcertingly delicious poetry by Jennifer MacBain-Stephens, Julia Gaskill, Kristen Williamson, Charles Cicirella, and Davide Nixon.
too many legs swiveled over - sliced the earth - thunder cloud behind glassy eyes - the smiling pictures on walls, cracked - all bone rubble and crying muscles - and the sickly pangs of joy - sleeping silently next to me - how we bend and do not break - before you become sour and muted - legs will only bend so far back before they snap - ooze glitter, and spit powdered make-up - the word “sorry” across her forehead - drown in a sea of black balloons...
