"Everyone decomposes in the end,
so you might as well turn yourself in
to a tree with leaves that will drop
in different directions."
the beginning of the poem "Until They Are Well Done", by j/j hastain and me, appearing within this week's Elephants Never!

j/j hastain and I have a long collaborative poem called "Myth Owls Targeted At Evil" appearing within Issue No. 28, Fall 2019 of Misfit Magazine, surrounded by all kinds of other poems too.
"This could be a trap or a ravenous rap tap
tapping at a cellar door party
filled with perky breasts, percolating
cups brewing more Percocet"

Happy October! A NEW poem by me and j/j hastain is up at Rogue Agent today!
"We don't wrench out every bite of pie filling
because that would debilitate the crust.
We don’t try to unearth our whole life’s story in the memoir
about how we felt the first time we watched E.T.
We don't maintain the exact same flavor forever.
Connective tissue eventually rips apart;
flutters down from the scaffolding
and lands in its own new space."
from the poem "FOR CLASSIFICATION PURPOSES" by Juliet Cook and j/j hastain, at Rogue Agent Issue 55
